Anyroad is a Roleplay Community supporting a company centered around the preservation and continuation of knowledge and technology. Its creed is the perpetuation of mankind through combatting calamities by safeguarding and studying dangerous and forgotten magicks, knowledge, and science that may prove catastrophic - especially should they fall on the wrong hands.

While we're generally altruistic and seek to aid our fellows and neighbors, we also recognise that - at times - it is better to take action than give to inaction due to fear of repercussions. Thus, ours is a sensitive task and subject matter with duties and missions which rely on different levels of knowledge, trust and responsibility.

Thus, a hierarchy is necessary both to categorize the abilities of our members, their accomplishments within the company, the level of trust placed upon them and their position in the chain that binds us together.

How to find us

Rumors exist as the threads that truly define us. They stretch beyond the reach of any letter, outpace the swiftest missive, and settle into the minds of the many, lingering forevermore.

Disembodied voices, carry tales of our triumphs, painting us as heroes in some distant sagas. Yet, for every heroic whisper, there are a dozen more that hiss curses, condemning our very presence for the debts we've exacted, the losses we've inflicted. Have you, traveler, caught even a fragment of these? A snippet celebrating our daring, or perhaps a venomous accusation of our 'wrongdoings'?

If your intrigue is piqued, if you begin to truly inquire, know that someone will find you. Or, perhaps, a forgotten flyer, carelessly discarded yet destined for your grasp, will reveal a paradox: a very public address, despite our elusive 'fame' – a sanctuary within the heart of Shirogane.

OOC

We pride ourselves in an environment that's focused on roleplay and where people can RP all kinds of characters without compromising their OOC relationships. We banter and joke and everyone generally knows there's no bad blood as we all understand RP is a cooperative environment and each character a project that people dedicate themselves to. As such, we absolutely refuse to police RP unless it crosses a line.We don't police opinions or ideas and we generally act like a bunch of friends - or at least try to promote that environment as best we can. Any relevant topics can and should be brought to the officers either via our ticket system or a DM. This will prompt and investigation and a thorough discussion of the matter. We don't take things lightly but we believe in not jumping to conclusions.Finally, we have a few clear goals with out free company. First and foremost, we want to chaperone and foster a quality roleplayers able to write fluently and able to cater in-depth and descriptive stories and emotes. Our second one is activity. We want dedicated members who are able to log into the game and RP on their own and spread our FC via IC interactions, not just log for events and then log out. We track activity and, thus, people who are generally inactive for a month's time get removed. Thirdly, we want people who don't belive themselves above public RP and are more than willing to engage with other FCs and other people and drag us or them into eachother's stories. We want to help in making XIV RP a bit more dynamic.
